What is Wildness?

When we think of something wild we tend to think of something, someone, going crazy. They are screaming, or yelling, their eyes are wide and they are thrushing around. Wild is something that has yet tamed and and screaming and scraches at one who trys to tame them. The idea of wild can be appealing to some but to most it seems childish and unsophisticated.

But I do not believe that is what wild always is. Somethings have this calm wild to them. They can not be tamed because they can not be found. They can not be named because they refuse to listen. They refuse to listen because they have a wildness to them. No they do not scream you out but it is there all the same. These wild things are certain people, animals, places that have found away to protect their wild soul. This I believe is a different type of wild one that is a crime to try and change.

Although maybe some types of wildness are unrespectable. In a way we as a culture have become louder then many of the things we consider wild. We make more noise we disrupt more things. In a way we are the wild and crazy ones. We are the ones running around like crazy, screaming and yelling, kicking and screaming.

The 'real' wild has become quieter and quieter. But we still think that we must tame it. Although we should not. Maybe its time we tame ourselves.
