When we think of something wild we tend to think of something, someone, going crazy. They are screaming, or yelling, their eyes are wide and they are thrushing around. Wild is something that has yet tamed and and screaming and scraches at one who trys to tame them. The idea of wild can be appealing to some but to most it seems childish and unsophisticated.
But I do not believe that is what wild always is. Somethings have this calm wild to them. They can not be tamed because they can not be found. They can not be named because they refuse to listen. They refuse to listen because they have a wildness to them. No they do not scream you out but it is there all the same. These wild things are certain people, animals, places that have found away to protect their wild soul. This I believe is a different type of wild one that is a crime to try and change.
Although maybe some types of wildness are unrespectable. In a way we as a culture have become louder then many of the things we consider wild. We make more noise we disrupt more things. In a way we are the wild and crazy ones. We are the ones running around like crazy, screaming and yelling, kicking and screaming.
The 'real' wild has become quieter and quieter. But we still think that we must tame it. Although we should not. Maybe its time we tame ourselves.
So the way I think of this blog is - a online diary that no one will read but it's not a private because its on the world wide web.

Changing My Diet
So I have decided to become.... a Lacto-Ovo Vegetarian. Now what does that mean you ask. It means that I no longer eat meat or fish but I do still eat dairy products, and eggs. Next common question why did you decide to become a Lacto - Ovo Vegetarian? Because I don't like meat! That would be my main reason. All the other common vegetarian answers work for me as well. And let me tell you that the fact there is a pretty health diet out there that fits my foods choices is great. So far I have been a vegaterain for two days. (I know only two days but hey one day at a time.) I figure I will just see how it goes eat as healthy as possible and continue to excercise and I should be good. So wish good luck to me please.

Beside Me Holding My Hand
i was so hurt and confused
i turn behind me to take comfort in you
but you were not there.
i cried and shouted
and called your name
my voice became hoarse
then i realized that that you
were right there
holding my hand
you had been there all along
i had only looked behind me
never right next to me
you had not left me
in my time of need
you had stepped up to my side
that's how i saw you
i really saw you
and i knew you would always be there
now i know that i will be ok
because your right there
next to me holding my hand
now, tomorrow and the day after
my problems are not fixed
but suddenly they seem more bearable
i turn behind me to take comfort in you
but you were not there.
i cried and shouted
and called your name
my voice became hoarse
then i realized that that you
were right there
holding my hand
you had been there all along
i had only looked behind me

The Flower of Fritz
Once upon a time there were three pretty girls that went for a walk in a meadow. They were on a mission to find the rarest flower in the meadow, The Flower of Fritz. This flower was large and a sky blue that blended into the sky which made it very diffcult to spot. The only way to you could find this flower was by finding what appeared to have an empty stem. Of course to make finding this flower even harder was that the seemingly empty stems are actually empty. For this Fritz Flower will travel by falling off of the stem and blowing in the wind. The wind will carry the flower to a new place and then a new Fritz Flower will grow from the old one. This medow holds the only Fritz Flower. The three girls wished to find the Fritz Flower simple because it had never been done before. Strangely enough they had no wish to keep this unique flower to themselves, or have anyone acknowledge that they were the ones to find this flower. No, the thought of just having a memory was enough for them. Maybe it was that mind set that allowed them to stumble into the flower while frocking though the meadow. They set up camp next to the flower until they work up one morning and the flower was gone. Then the girls headed home coontent and never spoke of The Flower of Fritz unless they were alone together. Interestingly enough there were many other people after and before the girls that went searching for the flower with the same mindset always came back home content and never spoke of finding the flower. Although there has never been any recorded evidence of The Flower of Fritz from those who had gone out with pens and cameras. Some things will always remain wild.
A repost....What do you think?....
Initial post: May 23, 2011 12:47:20 PM PDT Typel says: I was walking into Target store nearby, and on the very front display for girl's t-shirts, there was this printing in front of the pink shirt. "Play like a girl. Beat the boys" It was small sized, and I guess that it was intended for 8-10 year old-ish. At first, I thought that sure, it is always good for the girls to have confidence in themselves, that they can accomplish almost anything boys can do in their lives, even achieve more. I would surely have told my less-than-a-year-old baby girl that she could be or do whatever she can do with your life to achieve great things, that she doesn't have to give ways to boys just because she is a girl. Then I felt something is wrong here or rather strange. I remembered this sign, "Beat the Navy" from West Point's stadium in the infamous soccer match of Army v. Navy, that I visited when I was attending in a high nearby. Of course it was men's soccer, and they did almost everything to beat each others. Pushing, pulling, tackling, elbowing, heading and so on. That I understand. Army and Navy boys were very physical. They were both ready for that. They were the symbols of masculinity. But beat the boys? I know that this word, "Beat" does mean not the physical beating, but everything else. "Play like a girl. Beat the boys" Yeah. If you play like a girl, you can eat the boys. So what is it like playing like a girl? There was a saying, "Men ruled the world, and Women ruled men." All my life, I witnessed this to be true. My parents, myself and my wife, my relatives, my pastors, my teachers, my friends, they all have the husbands to be the face of family. Sure, ladies dominate conversations and opinions in almost any occasions existing out there. Ladies control their husband in one form or another, and we husbands gladly accept that. In my parents case, mom is virtually the face of my folk's business while dad does finance and behind the scene works. But when it comes to the public gathering or speech, it has always been dad to give speeches, awards and medals, or to receive them. Mom said, "When a man in a family stands strong and recognized by his wife, you can make an idiot achieve great things" Of course, she is not referring dad, for dad has Ph.D and no problem standing alone on his own. Feminism movement has been in full force for the last a few decades, and it has been integrated into our society so deeply, and I don't even think about. Women has been treated badly in the past and God bless those who worked so hard to get women their deserved rights and treatments. But at the same time, I am worried. I am worried that in the future my daughter will think that girls are supposed to beat boys. I am worried that she will think like this marketing catch-phrase. It is already hard to be a man living with a smarter and better educated wife. I recently realized that being a good husband doesn't only mean being loving, nurturing, forgiving, sweet, but also means being firm, strong, masculine, not afraid of wife(funny, but seriously true), and like a.... MAN. There are so many wise ladies out there in GBF, even too wise so that they tend to be cynical. But please keep the cynicism in yourself, and help me here what to make of this. What do I have to do to raise a girl to be a strong and independent woman, and at the same time, to be gracious and beautiful inside? I have seen many strong and independent ladies, who are lacking grace and inner beauty and they seem so disturbing to me... so unnatural(this might cause some flame..) Any comments are appreciated. I say hmmmmmm..... |

What Mama May's letter said
Dearest Saga,
I am writing down this story hoping that one day I will have the courage to talk about it with you, but if not at least you can read it. I knew Theo my whole life. He lived on the other side of the alley, three doors down. We use to play in the alley way as children . For the longest time we had crushes each other. Theo made the first move by sending me a music box for my sixteenth birthday. Before that we had always exchanged little things such as a cool looking rock, candy, etc.
After the music box we began courting. After about four years of that people were begin expecting us to get married. My mother had just had another child. The two of them were not doing very well and with nine children all spread out from the ages of nineteen to a newborn, I did not want to leave home. When Theo talk of marriage I asked him not to purpose for I did not want my mother to encourage me to leave for my sake of add any more stress to her burden with wedding plans.
A day after my twentieth birthday Theo and I got in an argument . To this day I cannot remember what it was about. But we were just both so stubborn, well not both of us, mostly just me. Theo sent me another music box for my twentieth-first birthday but I was prideful. I never answered him. I moved. I married your grandfather whom I love very much but I never forgot about Theo . I thought about him a lot. Mostly I wonder what ever happen to him. The reason I am telling you all this is because I need to tell someone. Besides I hope that you learn a few things from my mistakes. You do not have to keep this story a secret, it is up to you to tell whomever you want. I love you very, very much Saga May.
With Love ,
Your Mama May

What if....
What if your Grandma left you this letter?
Saga -
I never got up the courage to send you this letter. Saddens me that I can’t explain the details to you. At the time I had only written this letter to get the words out of my head. Now I am wishing I told you when we when we were talking about the music box. I am sorry I didn’t. I would call you right now but I am so tired. I am going to die today but that’s ok. I’m gonna meet my Maker. Don’t be sad for me. And no worries I known that one day I will see you up there as well.

I WANNA FRYING PAN
Watching Disney's Tangled and so wishing I had a frying pan to use as a weapon. I mean the one who wields the frying pan can beat any soldier (although not a horse strangely enough). And if you wanna make the frying pan a super weapon you could always just put it on the stove for a little bit. (Just saying.) Although that method should be used in the most extreme circumstances. I'm going to go get myself a frying pan from my kitchen to use Rapunzel style.

Losing Power
It's always a scary moment when you feel as if you are about to lose power. I mean it's such a hussle you have to reset your clocks, you can't open your fridge, everything in your freezer melts, your a/c no longer works and it gets really hot, you have to hunt done all your flashlights that no longer work and then light fifty candles that that act like they are about to burn down your house. (Got to love commas - they help make major run-on sentences.)
But I have to admit its kind of fun when the power goes out. To have to eat all of the ice cream that is in the freezer and to study for a major test that is for the next day because you can focus better because there are fewer distractions. Or to be right in the middle of watching Eagle Eye (a movie where a computer tries to take over the world and one of its methods is messing wth electricity) when the power goes out and your best friend starts screaming her head off. All in all a power outage is just another way to add a little bit of excitement to ones everyday life.

Today is one of my favorite holidays. Christmas in July. This holiday gives me an excuse to listen to the 100+ songs that normally I only listen to in December (as well as a couple of random days during the year.
My sister believes that it should really be Christmas in June because that would be the true half mark. I on the othe hand like the ring of Christmas in July.

The Power of Words
Words themselves have no power to do anything. It's the people that say, write, and hear the words that have the power. A author can write with such great passion but if no one reads those words and listens to the writer's passion the words have lost their orignal power. People can give power to words that were said with little thought. Such as words said in anger, or bitterness. Sometimes words need to be striped of their power. Cruel words that tell someone that they are worthless and unloved by all. Those kinds of words should never be given power nor spoken be anyone. Words can be a powerful weapon no matter who says what when those words are given power be others.

A New Month
I know it sounds strange but everyday on the first of an month I get a little excited. For what every reason the start of a new month excites me. And there is so much to be done on the start of a month. First you have to remember to write the correct number of that month whenever you write the date. (It will take me about a week to get it right.) Then you have turn your calender. In my case I have to write a new heading to my list of books. (I record all the books I read by month. Weird - so what - Like it.) The first of a month is a holiday within itsself.

My favorite feeling (Stop laughing. Everyone is allowed to have a favorite feeling, right? Sigh. I know weird.) is the content feeling that you get sometimes when your just plan old happy. It's (or is it its. I can't tell) Its not like it was day day where all these great things happened. Although nothing bad happen but instead of feeling like your average day for some reason I just feel content. It's (that one I am sure) a great feeling.

Romeo and Juliet - Act Five
Act Five, Scene One opens on a street in Mantua . Romeo is talking about his dream that he had about Juliet. In his dream he had died and Juliet had brought him back to life by kissing him. Romeo is amazed that being in love with Juliet came be so sweet that he does not even have to be near her to be hopelessly in love with her. Balthasar, a servant to Romeo, arrives on the scene. Romeo sees Balthasar and asks him first for news of his wife Juliet and then his father, he asks if he has a letter from the friar. He says if Juliet is well, for to him no news is bad news. Balthasar then tells him that Juliet is not longer alive, she’s now dead. Romeo hears this and becomes upset. He asks Balthasar to get some horses that they can ride to see Juliet. Balthasar is worried about Romeo but leaves to get the horses after Romeo asks him one more time if he is sure that he does not have any letters from the friar. (Romeo hopes that Friar Lawrence sent him a letter with Balthasar that says this is all in the plan. But there is no such note. Although the plan is real.) Romeo once again tells Balthasar to go get them some horse. Once Balthasar is gone Romeo decides to go to the apothecary to get some poison that will kill him. The Apothecary hears Romeo request for a poison that will kill him. The Apothecary tells Romeo that he has the potion but feels that he can not give it to Romeo for it is against the law. Romeo tells the Apothecary (who is poor) that he will pay him a lot of money. So the Apothecary gives him the poison and tells him that it will kill him right away. Scene One comes to a close.
Scene Two returns to Friar Lawrence’s cell. Friar John (he is one of Friar Lawrence coworkers. He was to deliver the message of Juliet’s ‘death’ to Romeo) calls for Friar Lawrence. Friar Lawrence enters and asks Friar John if he has a message from Romeo. Friar John tells Friar Lawrence that he never had a chance to go to Romeo. He tells Friar Lawrence that he was helping the sick when he was helping the sick in an area where there was a plague. So he was not aloud to leave that section of town. He goes on to tell Friar Lawrence that he still has the letter. Friar Lawrence realizes that Romeo does not know of Juliet’s fake death. He knows that it would be best to get Juliet out of the tomb so he can talk to Romeo. He tells Friar John to fetch him a crowbar so he can enter the tomb. Scene Two ends.
Scene Three, the final scene, opens in the churchyard at night. Paris is going to the Capulet’s tomb so he can place flowers for Juliet. He does this in private while his page keeps watch. He promises Juliet’s unmoving body that he will bring her flowers, perfume, and tears every night. Then his page gives a whistle. This is a signal that someone is coming. He blows out the touch so he can hide in the night. Romeo and Balthasar enter with a torch, crow bar, and a mattock. ( Mattock - n. A digging tool with a flat blade set at right angles to the handle. http://www.dictionary.com/) Romeo tells Balthasar to go stand watch while he enters Juliet’s tomb to look at Juliet. He also tells Balthasar that he is not allowed to follow him. If he does Romeo threatens to kill him. Balthasar is fully scared by this and has not thoughts of entering the tomb but he does stay in the graveyard to keep watch. (even though the graveyard gives him the willies) Romeo then goes in the tomb. Paris sees Romeo go in the tomb and believes that this Montague wants to harm Juliet. (He knows that the Capulets and Montugues are enemies.)So he tells Romeo that he should back away and why mess with some one who is already dead. Romeo tells Paris that he should leave him alone. Paris refuses to and the two draw swords. Paris ’s page sees the two fighting and runs to get the police. A little bit later Romeo stabs Paris .
As Paris is dying he asks Romeo to place him next to Juliet. Then Romeo gets a good luck at who he just killed and sees that it is Paris . He feels awful because Paris was kinsman to Mercutio, Romeo’s friend. He begins to remember that Mercutio had once said that Paris was to one day going to marry Juliet although he dismisses the thought from his mind. Romeo then goes to see Juliet. He remarks on how flushed Juliet is in death. (That is because she is not really dead.) He says one last time that he loves her, kisses her and takes the potion, seconds after he dies. Friar Lawrence then enters and he sees Balthasar and asks who is in the tomb. Balthasar tells him that it is Romeo and he has been there for an half an hour. Balthasar also tells Friar Lawrence that he had a dream that there was a fight in the tomb. (Although who really falls asleep in the middle of a graveyard in the span of a half hour, this is the same guy who had willies about being in the graveyard.) Friar Lawrence then asks Balthasar to go with him in the tomb. Balthasar refuses because he is afraid to go since Romeo warned him away. Friar Lawrence then goes ahead by himself and sees Paris and Romeo dead. At this point Juliet wakes up. She finds out when Friar Lawrence tells her to come with him and that Romeo and Paris are dead. (At this time you can here police and citizens coming toward the tomb.) Juilet refuses and Friar Lawrence leaves. Juliet sees Romeo and the cup he used to drink the poison from. She then decides to die. She kisses Romeo in hopes that the poison on his lips can kill her. It doesn’t work. Then she hears the watchman in the page coming. She does not want anyone to stop her from killing herself so she begins to stab herself over and over again with Romeo’s dagger until she dies.
The watchmen and the page then enter. They send massagers to go get the Capulets, Montugues, and The Prince. The watchmen find Friar Lawrence and Balthasar and hold them for questioning. The Capulets and The Prince then arrive and demand to know what is going on. A watchman tells the people that Paris slain, Romeo poisoned, and Juliet stabbed. The Capulets are startled to see their daughter dead again. The Capulets first blame Romeo because his knife is in Juliet but the Prince asks them to wait before they cast judgment. Montague then enters. The Prince greets him and asks him where his wife is. Montague tells him that his wife had died because of Romeo’s banishment, he then asks for the bad news. The Prince shows him his son’s body and Montague calls out in grief. The Prince asks if anyone knows what happen. Friar Lawrence steps forward and tells everyone the whole story. (At this point in the play Friar Lawrence is the only one who knows almost everything.) Before he begin his speech Friar Lawrence said that he was willing to be punished but after he is done the Prince says that is not necessary. Balthasar and Paris ’s page step forward when called and tell of their masters’ actions. The Prince announces the story true. He asks that the Capulets and Montugues stop arguing for there had been enough deaths. The two agree and also promises the other that they would honor their children. The Prince says that he is happy that something good came out of all this sorrow and Romeo and Juliet comes to an end. The moral of this story is that people should not be aloud to carry dangers objects when they go for a back.

Romeo and Juliet - Act Four
Act Four, Scene One opens with Friar Lawrence and Paris. Paris is telling Friar Lawrence that he and Juliet are to be married on Thursday. Friar Lawrence wonders if this is wise and he asked Paris what he thinks. Paris tells Friar Lawrence that Capulet is the one who wants them to be married so soon. He tells his worries to Friar Lawrence that he does not know Juliet well; he implies that he has tried to talk to her but all Juliet has done since Tybalt’s death was cry. At this point Juliet enters for she has come to talk to Friar Lawrence for advice to get out of the wedding. Paris greets her cheerfully but Juliet brushes him off. The two go back in forth in that manner for quite some time, Paris being kind to Juliet and Juliet brushing him off. (You have to feel bad for the guy. Here he is being all nice but for reasons he doesn’t know she is replying harshly.)
Friar Lawrence breaks the two up and sends Paris away so he can talk with Juliet. Juliet asked Friar Lawrence what he thinks she should do. She tells Friar Lawrence that she would rather kill herself than be married again. Friar Lawrence tries to get Juliet to calm down. He tells her if she has the strength to kill herself then she will be able to drink a mixture. He goes on to explain his plan. Friar Lawrence tells Juliet that she will drink a mixture that will make it seem as if she is dead. Juliet will then be placed in the tomb since everyone thinks that she is dead. Friar Lawrence will tell Romeo to return and when Romeo returns he will take Juliet away to Mantua . With this plan ready, Scene One ends.
Scene Two has a bit of comedy relief in the beginning. Capulet and servants are joking around about the wedding preparations. A servingman and Capulet are taking about how only the best cooks will eat off their fingers while cooking. (Gross, but at least they are not afraid to eat their own food.) Then Capulet talks with Nurse about how Juliet went to Friar Lawrence’s cell. He hopes that Friar Lawrence will talk some sense into Juliet. Juliet then enters the scene acting all happy and tells her family that she is ready to follow her father’s wishes and marry Paris . Capulet is overjoyed when he hears this and decides to move the wedding to the next day. As Juliet and Nurse leave to find a dress for Juliet, Lady Capulet worries if they will be ready to put on a wedding the next day. Capulet tells his wife not to worry and that she should go help Juliet and Nurse. He says that he shall do a housewife’s duties that night so the wedding shall go on tomorrow and Scene Two comes to an end.
In Scene Three Lady Capulet enters as Juliet is telling Nurse to leave. Lady Capulet asked Juliet asks if she will be fine on her own. Juliet says that she will and Nurse and Lady Capulet should go help with the preparations, for there is much to do. Nurse and Lady Capulet agree and leave. Juliet braces herself to drink the vial that will make is seem as she is dead when she really is not. She worries aloud whether or not the mixture will work at. She gets ready to kill herself with a dagger, in worry that it will not work but decides against killing herself. Then she fears that it is really a poison and Friar Lawrence wants to kill her so that he will not commit a sin by marring her twice. She tells herself that by killing her Friar Lawrence would commit a sin. Besides that she tells herself that Friar Lawrence is a kind and holy man. Juliet begins to obsess if she will die in the sepulcher because she will not be able to get enough air. Then she begins to stress about the fact that she will wake to early and go crazy when she sees her dead family members around her. She decides that she will take the vial because that is the only way that she will be able to see Romeo again. So she takes the vial. Scene Three ends when Juliet falls back unconscious.
Scene Four has the whole Capulet household (except Juliet) preparing for the wedding. The whole household is in a state of chaos. Everyone is running around looking for supplies, more hands, etc. Nurse and Lady Capulet are telling Capulet that he should go lay down so he does not become sick. Capulet is assuring the ladies that he can handle being up late and it is not a problem. Capulet tells Nurse that it is morning and she is to go wake up Juliet. Scene Four ends.
Scene Five begins with Nurse calling for Juliet to wake up. As Juliet does not respond Nurse becomes more and more persistent. She reaches over to shake Juliet and finds Juliet unresponsive. She begins to realize that something is wrong. She draws the conclusion that Juliet is dead. (Remember that Juliet just seems dead, she is not really dead.) She starts calling out that Juliet is dead and for everyone to come. Lady Capulet hears Nurse’s cries and asks her why is her yelling. Nurse shows her Juliet and Lady Capulet starts screaming. Capulet comes in asking what is taking Juliet so long. The ladies start wailing that Juliet is dead. When Capulet sees that the ladies are right he becomes upset. Paris, Friar Lawrence, and some musicians, who are here to play during the wedding, enter the scene asking for Juliet. They find out that Juliet is dead and Paris breaks down, while Friar Lawrence keeps a cool head. (That would be because Friar Lawrence knows that Juliet is not truly dead.) Friar Lawrence attempts to speak word of comfort to those who are grieving for Juliet. He tells them that they should dress Juliet in her finest to prepare her for her funeral. After that speech Friar Lawrence, Lady Capulet, Capulet, and Paris all leave. One of the musicians suggests that it time for them to leave. (There are three all together.) Nurse agrees and says that now is not the time for joyful music. As the musicians get ready to leave Peter, servant, enters and begins to tease the musicians. After they completely destroy the other’s self-esteem with teasing the musicians decide to stay for diner and Act Four comes to a close.

Romeo and Juliet - Act Three
Act Two ends on a high note. Juliet and Romeo are finally married. (Less then twenty-four after they have met.) Act Three cuts that high note short. Scene One opens with Mercutio and Benvolio hanging out in the city. The air is hot and there are many Capulets around. Benvolio knows this and advises Mercutio that they should leave, because of the Capulets and the fact that people anger more easily in the heat. Mercutio sees no need to leave and begins to tease Benvolio. Mercutio teases Benvolio by switch their characteristics. The two seem to be enjoying themselves until Tybalt arrives.
Tybalt arrives demanding to know where Romeo is. Mercutio begins to play word games with Tybalt, shorting Tybalt’s already short temper. Benvolio tries to keep peace between the two. Romeo then arrives on the scene. Tybalt tries to anger Romeo, so he will fight him. Romeo does not respond to the challenge, instead he tells Tybalt that he loves him, like he is family. (Which he is since Romeo has now married Juliet but Tybalt does not know that.) Mercutio answers the challenge for Romeo and draws his sword. Romeo tries to break the two up but it is useless. For while Romeo is standing in between the two, Tybalt reaches around Romeo and stabs Mercutio.
Tybalt then flees from the scene. Mercutio realizes he has just been fatally wounded and begins to cruse the two households. Benvolio asked his friend if he is hurt. Mercutio replies that it is just a scratch but calls for his page to bring him a surgeon. Mercutio lies on the ground in pain but continues to joke with his friends and make fun of Tybalt. Mercutio then switches to cursing the households. Benvolio help Mercutio into a house and out of the street. Romeo takes on a monologue. He talks about how his friend is dying because of him and his love for Juliet has seemed to soften him, so he did not fight Tybalt himself. Benvolio returns with news that Mercutio is dead. Then Tybalt returns on the scene. Romeo because of his grief challenges Tybalt to a fight. Romeo kills Tybalt after awhile into the fight. Benvolio knows that if Romeo gets caught he could be killed, so he urges his friend to run.
A Citizen tells Benvolio that he must talk with Paris . The Prince, his attendants, Montague, Lady Montague, Capulet, Lady Capulet and others arrive on the scene. Benvolio tells the Prince what happened, while Lady Capulet cries for Tybalt. Lady Capulet tries to convince Prince to kill Romeo, while Montague tells Prince that Tybalt would have been killed anyway and Romeo is not to blame. Prince decrees that Romeo will not be killed but banished. So the scene ends.
Scene Two has Juliet in a monologue about how she can not wait for Romeo to join her that night. She wishes that the night comes quickly. She talks about how much she loves Romeo. She says that when he dies he should be made stars, and the night sky will be more beautiful then ever before. She switches back again to how impatient she is for night to come. The arrive of Nurse stops her monologue. Juliet asks Nurse why she is so upset. All Nurse says is he is dead and Romeo’s name. Juliet hears this and thinks that Romeo is dead and she starts wailing. Finally Nurse tells her that Romeo is not dead but Tybalt, and that Romeo killed Tybalt. Nurse tells Juliet that Romeo is now banished. Juliet starts moaning about how her cousin is dead and her husband is banished because he killed her cousin. Nurse says that Romeo is a bad man and his charm was just an act. Juliet is angry when she hears this and claims that she can’t speak ill of her husband (even though she just did a few lines before), and says that she rather everyone else dead then have Romeo dead or even worse banished. She hides alone in her bedroom, while Nurse goes to talk with Romeo at Friar Lawrence’s cell. Juliet gives Nurse her ring as a token for Romeo of her love and Scene Two ends.
In the beginning of Scene Three Romeo has no idea he has been banished, he does not know what his punishment is. Friar Lawrence finds out for him and lets him know that his punishment is banishment. Romeo tells Friar Lawrence that he rather his punishment have been death. He tells Friar Lawrence that while in banishment there is no Juliet. Friar Lawrence tells Romeo that he should be thankful that the Prince spared him from death but Romeo refuses to look on the bright side. The two go back and forth until Nurse arrives. By this time Romeo is on the ground sobbing. Nurse tells the males that Juliet is in her room sobbing. This makes Romeo feel even worse about this and threatens to kill himself. Friar Lawrence tells Romeo that he should not kill himself but reminds him to be thankful. He tells Romeo that he shall leave town after he spends the night with Juliet. Later they will find away for the two to be reunited. Nurse gives Romeo Juliet’s ring as a message from Juliet that she loves him. That cheers Romeo up. Scene Three comes to an end.
Scene Four opens with Capulet, Lady Capulet and Paris. Capulet is asking Paris if he would still like to marry Juliet. Paris says yes but reminds Capulet that a death does not call for a marriage. Capulet says that a marriage might just cheer up sobbing Juliet. (Remember he does not know that she is married to Romeo, he thinks that she is crying because Tybalt is dead.) Capulet tells Paris that he should marry Juliet in two days. Paris agrees. Scene Four ends with Capulet going off to bed.
Scene Five starts with Romeo and Juliet saying their goodbyes. The two do not want to separate but are force to because of dawn and Nurse calling for Juliet. (Remember if Romeo is found in the city after dawn he is to be put to death.) Romeo leaves and shortly after, Lady Capulet arrives. Juliet is crying because Romeo has just left but Lady Capulet thinks that she is crying over Tybalt still. She tells her daughter that she has been crying for too long, instead she should be finding was to average his death. Juliet responds using word play to all her mother’s comments so that her mother thinks she wants to kill Romeo but really she wants to spend more time with him. Lady Capulet breaks the news that Juliet is to be married to Paris and Juliet throws a fit. Capulet enters and hears of how Juliet feels about this marriage and is outraged. He feels that he has put to much time in this proposal for Juliet to react this way. He tells Juliet that he should leave his house or be used for his friends’ delight if she does not accept this marriage. After he makes this announcement he leaves. Juliet turns to her mother to beg for her help but her mother does not wish to help her. After her mother leaves Juliet beg Nurse for advice. Nurse gives Juliet advice but she did not say what Juliet wanted to hear. She tells Juliet that she should just marry Paris , for he will be better to then Romeo. Juliet tells Nurse that she is going to Friar Lawrence’s cell for confession and that Nurse should let her parents know. After Nurse leaves Juliet talks to herself about how she does not like Nurse’s advice. She says that she would rather kill herself then marry Paris . So Act Three ends.

Romeo and Juliet, Act Two
Act One finished with Romeo and Juliet knowing that they were in love with each other when they should have hated each other. Act Two, Scene One opens with Romeo climbing over the wall that guards the Capulet’s house. He is hoping that he can find Juliet. Benvolio and Mercutio are looking for Romeo for he had left them without sayings were he was going. Benvolio saw Romeo climb the wall and knows that he is near, so he asks Mercutio to call for Romeo. Mercutio replies using Rosaline features as a way to provoke Romeo, after talking about how much passion Romeo seems to devote to love. (Remember Mercutio and Benvolio do not know that Romeo is now in love Juliet, not with Rosaline) Benvolio cautions Mercutio not to anger Romeo. Mercutio replies saying that if he suggests any one but Romeo to be with Rosaline would anger him. Benvolio says that Romeo is hiding from them because he is in a dark mood and they should just leave him be. Mercutio continues to joke about Romeo but in the end Benvolio encourages him to leave, which they do. That is how the scene comes to an end.
Act two, Scene Two opens with Romeo talking about Mercutio does not deserve to joke about love. The Romeo interrupts his own rant when he sees Juliet in her balcony. He begins to talk about how beautiful Juliet is and wonders aloud whether or not he should approach her. Juliet is not aware that Romeo is listening to her so she talks about how much she likes him. (For if she knew he was there she never would have said anything. She would have gone on to play the flirting game.) She also mentions that she wishes that Romeo was not a Montague, she tells her self that even with out his name he would still be the same person. After a while of Juliet taking to herself Romeo interrupts her to tell her that his name no longer has to be Romeo. The two begin to make small talk as Juliet ask Romeo how he got over the gate and if he was worried of being caught. Romeo responds saying that his love for her will protect him. Juliet worries aloud to Romeo that she thinks that they are moving way too fast. She tells him that she would not be this forward with him if he had not heard her talking to herself. She asks him if his love is true. He tries to give her poetic answers. She wants none of it. The Nurse calls for Juliet and Juliet ask Romeo to wait for her. When she comes back she tells Romeo that if he really loves her he would marry her. After a few times of him trying to leave and her calling him back, he tells her that he will send for her tomorrow. Romeo wishes Juliet goodnight as the scene ends.
Scene Three is set in a monastery. Friar Laurence is talking of how night turns to day. Then he talks about herbs and about how they can do both good and bad. Then he goes on to compare herbs to people and how the two both have good and bad in them. Romeo enters then and says good morning. Friar Laurence asks Romeo why he is up so early then he realizes that Romeo looks as if he has not slept at all. Romeo admits to the fact that he did not sleep but denies Friar Laurence’s accusation of him spending the night with Rosaline. He even tells Friar Laurence that he is no longer in love with Rosaline. Romeo explains to Friar Laurence of how he met Juliet and that he would now like to marry her. Friar Laurence hears of this and worries that the two are moving way to fast. He feels that this love is not strong but in the end he agrees in hopes that this will draw the two families together. That is the end of the scene.
In Scene Four Mercutio and Benvolio is wondering where Romeo is. (They don’t know about Juliet.) Benvolio knows that Romeo did not return home last night. Mercutio thinks he spent the night with Rosaline. Benvolio tells Mercutio that Romeo received a letter from Tybalt challenging him to duel. Mercutio says that Romeo will say yes to challenge as long as he is not a wimp. The two joke back and forth on what a wimp Tybalt is. Then Romeo arrives and his friends ask him what he had to do that was better then hanging out with them. Romeo does not tell them where he was. Mercutio and Romeo get way off topic and begin to joke back and forth until Nurse arrives with Peter. Mercutio makes fun of Nurse. This makes Nurse angry. Much to Romeo’s dismay all she wants to talk about is how wrongly she just was treated. Romeo tells Nurse to tell Juliet that she is to meet him at Friar Laurence’s cell that afternoon. Nurse reminds Romeo that he must act as a gentleman towards Juliet. On that note the scene ends.
Scene Five is Juliet waiting for Nurse to arrive so she can hear the message from Romeo. Juliet talks aloud to herself about how anguish she is to hear from Nurse and how lovers should be telepathic. When Nurse arrives all she does is complain about how old and tired she is. So you have Juliet bugging Nurse for her answer and Nurse complaining about how old she is. (Nurse is teasing Juliet.) After Nurse is though teasing as Juliet, she tells her to go to Friar Lawrence’s cell for her wedding with Romeo. Juliet gets ready to prepare herself for the wedding as the scene ends.
Scene Six is the wedding. The two Lovers exchange word on how much they love each other, while Friar Lawrence reminds the two to take it slow. Act Two ends with Friar Lawrence getting ready to marry them. Romeo and Juliet believe that these events are in their favor. Friar Lawrence believes that the two families have finally been united. Little do they know that the day still has challenges that are yet to come.

Romeo and Juliet - Act One
The Romeo and Juliet play is about love and discord in Verona : Mantua , Italy . All cities have love and discord in them, you say, so what makes this plot so special? Well the discord is stirred up between two of the most riches families in the city, so everyone becomes involved. The love is between the children of these two families. Act One, Scene One opens showing us of this discord. Sampson and Gregory, both, whom are servants from the Capulet household, are talking about how much they despise the Montagues and what they would do if they happen to spot one. When who should show up, but a servant from the Montague household, Abram. Abram becomes offended when Sampson bits his thumb at him. Sampson denies that the thumb was not bitten at him as not to get in trouble with the law, although Abram does not believe him. The Sampson and Abram draw their swords and the two begin to fight. Now I know what you are thinking. They are fighting over the fact that one bit his thumb. That’s right. That’s how far the two households have gone. They fight over everything. Even though it is only Sunday morning.
Benvolio, a cousin in the Capulet household, has arrived on stage shortly before the outbreak. Seeing the two fighting servants he run over to break up the fight with his sword drawn, then Tybalt enters and seeing all the sword drawn runs over and begins to fight with Benvolio. Even though Benvolio explains that the only reason he had his sword drawn, was to break-up the fight that was between the two servants. Other members of the two households join the fight. Some peace officers arrive to try to break-up the fight, as well as citizens who wish for both sides to just kill each other off. (They are very tried of having their mornings interrupted by fighting.) Then Capulet and Lady Capulet enter. Capulet is ready to join the fight, but Lady Capulet is holding him back reminding him that he is an old man and not fit to fight. Montague and Lady Montague arrive in a similar manner. At this point the only one who can who can break up this fight is the Prince himself, so he does. He speaks words of shame to both households and asked Capulet to talk with him that morning and Montague that afternoon.
Now all have left the stage but Montague, Lady Montague, and Benvolio. Montague asked Benvolio what he knows of how the fight started, so Benvolio tell him what he saw. After receiving the information, Capulet goes on to wonder what has been troubling his son Romeo. The Capulet parents are worried about Romeo so much because he has been very withdrawn lately. None of the three have any idea, but when Romeo enter the scene, Benvolio encourages his aunt and uncle to leave so he can see if he can learn what is wrong with Romeo.
So Benvolio talks with Romeo and learns that Romeo is so depressed because Rosaline, his current girlfriend, is not responding to Romeo’s affections. Now Benvolio is a down to earth kind of dude and thinks Romeo is crazy to woe so much over this girl. He thinks he should just dump her and find another girl that can please him better.
Scene Two opens with Capulet and Count Paris (a young nobleman) talking about whether or not Juliet has reached the age where she should marry Paris . Paris is ready to marry Juliet but Capulet is hesitant to marry off his only child. He brings up the fact that Juliet will be fourteen years old in a couple weeks, while Paris points out that girls younger the she already have children. In the end Capulet decides to throw a party and if Paris can not find a more beautiful girl at that party than he can marry Juilet. So he sends a servant out with a list of names to all those who should be invited to this party.
This servant is unable to read. (This was quite normal for those days) So to fillful his master order he must find someone who can read. He sees Romeo and Benvolio, who are yet again discussing Romeo’s love life, and ask them if they can read. After much joking around Romeo reads the list to the servant. Now the servant does not know that Benvolio and Romeo are Montugues so he tells them when and where the party will be. ( If the servant did know who they were he probably would have never talked to them in the first place.) Benvolio suggest that they join the party and see if they can find a girl there that is pettier than Rosalina.
Scene Three begins with Lady Capulet asking the Nurse to call Juliet to her. Lady Capulet is nervous about talking to her daughter because the two do not talk much. So she asked the Nurse to stay with them since she was the one who raised Juliet. That ends up being a mistake since the Nurse can not seem to shut up and goes on to tell all these embarrassing stories from Juliet’s childhood. After the Capulet ladies gets the Nurse to shut up Lady Capulet asked Juliet how she feels about marriage. Juliet admits that she has not given marriage much thought. Lady Capulet tries to get Juliet warmed up to the idea by telling her that Paris would like her to marry him as well as all the good things that come with marriage. The ladies talk until a servingman interrupts them and tells them that the guests for the party are already downstairs and the ladies are to join the party.
Scene Four is more about Romeo and his friends. Romeo is not fond of the idea of going to this party and dancing. He claims that his soul is made of lead and he is not ready to wear dancing shoes. The though of dancing when love is being unkind, does not appeal to him. He puts out the idea that he would be willing to stand to the side and bear the touch as to shed light for the dancers. This night has Romeo worried because the night before he has a dream that this night would be the start of several misfortunate events leading to his death although all he tells his friends was that he had a dream. Mercutio, a friend to Romeo, tells him that he should not pay attention to such dreams. He even tells Romeo a story of a fairy, Queen Mab, who messes with mortals dreams as entertainment. Eventually Romeo interrupts Mercutio’s story. Romeo tell him that his dream about. His friends ignore him and Benvolio urges them to hurry.
So we move on to Scene Five and the party. This scene opens with the servants rushing to prepare for the party and Capulet acting as a good host by greeting his guests. AND then, Ladies and Gentlemen, the moment you have all been waiting for is here, Romeo sees Juliet. And it’s love at first sight. Romeo start’s talking to himself about how beautiful she is. Tybalt overhears Romeo’s monologue and recognizes Romeo Montague’s voice. And not Tybalt is ready to fight. Capulet sees him getting ready and intervenes. Capulet tells Tybalt that tonight is not the time and they will welcome Romeo and his friends with open arms.
Then the scene goes from the focus of Capulet and Tybalt, to Romeo and Juliet. Romeo is speaking in a lovers rhyme trying to show Juliet how much he loves her. She is impressed and speaks the same language back to him because she likes him as well. They share two kisses before Nurse comes along and interrupts them. Nurse tells Juliet that her mother wishes to see her. After Juliet leaves to talk with her mother, Romeo asked Nurse who Juliet was. (Remember Romeo does not know Juliet’s name.) So the Nurse tells him that she is Juliet Capulet. Romeo is surprised to hear that this wonderful girl he just met is part of the family he is to hate. Benvolio comes along to tell Romeo to leave before they anger someone. Capulet overhears and tells them that they are welcomed. Then all begin to exit except for Nurse and Juliet. As they leave Juliet asked Nurse to name the guest as to learn the name of the one whom she was dancing with. When she finds out that he is Romeo Montague she freaks. For she knows that she is hopeless in love with the one that should be her enemy. And that is how Act One ends.

In honor of the fact that everyone seems to think that we are all going to die tomorrow....
Live
Does anyone know?
Does anyone know?
What will happen tomorrow?
Who we will meet?
What we will see?
What we will do?
I know I don’t
That is way we should
Way we need to
Live each day to the fullest

What day were you born on?
Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for his living,
And the child that is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay (happy).

This is an old nursey ryhme that was used to teach children the days of the week and predict a child's personality. I have yet to do a survey to figure out how true this rhyme is but who knows maybe it's spot on. For more information - google it.
P.S. I was born on Friday.

Earth Turns
The sun does not rise mor set.
It is true that the sun does not set or rise. I know a little part in the back of your mind your going - Duh you nincompoop the sun does rise and set. Go look out your window. (and those smarticles out there are going how do know what I'm thinking? Or am I the only one who does that.) Well yes two times a day you can look to the skies and see lots of pretty colors but the sun doesn’t move the Earth does.
It's true and you know that. The Earth rotates around the sun, the sun does not rotate around the Earth. I know that this is like a no duh moment and why don't you just let it go but it really bugs me to no end.
So I guess one should really say when they see a colorful sky is "Wow look at that colorful Earth turning." or something like that.
Oh well I have a feeling that people are still going to say sunrise and sunset but I will not.

A Story
“Aunt Jemima and Her Pancake Toppings”
“Aunt Jemima, do you think you could make the pancakes sweeter?” questions Aunt Jemima’s six year old nephew named Luke.
“Yes,” says Matt, Luke’s seven year old brother, “Just add more sugar.”
“I can not just put three cups of sugar in that would just ruin the pancake,” laughed Aunt Jemima.
“We tried that before when we were girls,” Amy, Luke’s mother, tells him, “Grandma said that we ruined the pancakes and you have to agree with her.”
“Clear your places boys and go help your father and older bothers with the animals” Aunt Jemima orders the boys.
“Listen to your Aunt Jemima, boys. Five boys helping your father rather than three would get things done a lot faster.” Amy agrees with her younger sister.
“Yes Ma’am!” yell the boys as they run outside.
“I’m going to go out and collect some firewood if that is fine with you,” Aunt Jemima tells Amy as she puts her jacket on.
“While you do that I will do the dishes,” compromises Amy.
Aunt Jemima walks along the maple trees picking up their dead branches to use as fire wood. She thinks about Luke’s and Matt’s wish to have sweeter pancakes. Well I could put butter on it but we do not have enough. The little we have must be used sparingly. Jam would be an answer. Then we run into the problem that Luke is allergic to strawberries and Matt blueberries. We could have pumpkin jam but there is not enough pumpkin to make jam.
As she is walking and thinking and not quite paying attention she trips over a root. While falling she grabs a low maple tree branch.
“Ouch,” Aunt Jemima cries.
As she stands back up she notices where the branch snapped of there was a liquid substance. She reaches out to touch it and realizes that is sticky. A chipmunk appears and scoops a bit away and begins to lick it off his paw. Alright if chipmunks can eat it maybe it is safe for humans too. Aunt Jemima carefully licks her finger. The sweet sensation fills her. She runs back to the house with the firewood, drops it off at the front door, goes to the shed grabs the bucket and a nail.
Fifteen Years Later
Aunt Jemima sits down with her sister’s family while they all eat breakfast together. The table is filled with food such as oatmeal, bacon, sausage, grits, eggs, and pancakes with syrup. Ever since that day Aunt Jemima found the tree sap. Amy’s family had gone out and collected the sap to use as syrup for the pancakes. Now twenty two year old Luke and twenty three year old Matt have been selling the syrup using their aunt, Aunt Jemima, as the name. The End.
See even I can write a fable.
See even I can write a fable.

Gory/ Suspense Movies
I DO NOT like to watch gory movies. Blood, guts, and such is so not my scene. I mean really - how many people can you watch get shot at, stabbed, etc in an two hour movie? The whole thing is emotionally exhausting. And its not just that sights. It’s the sounds too. The consent guns shots and the cannon kabooms are just way too much. I find myself flinching though out the whole movie.
And don't even get me started on suspenseful movies. Everyone is pulling out a gun (again with the guns!), there are crazy people, and lots of scary music. Again not good for my nerves. See when I watch a suspenseful movie I have to hold someone's hand to hold. Not only hand but a blanket, pillow, coat, etc, to hide under when the movie becomes to intense.
I rather watch my romance comedies and Disney movies any day thank you very much.

So NOT A Morning Person
I am not a morning person at all. My hair's messy, and my mode is set to an ulitamate grouch. Which would be annoying to all if I actually talked in the morning. But for about forty-five minutes after I get up in the morning I refuse to talk to anyone. If my family attemps to talk to me I refuse to answer with anything but a dirty look. I know, I know its not very civil but in the morning I could care less.
Also in the morning I am sooooo sluggish. It will take me twice as long to complete simple tasks and a hard tasks are impossible. That's why I do anything important before I go to bed. So let's review - mornings are not my thing and now that I think about it I know I'm not the only one.

Watching the Washer
So for fun yesterday I was reading my favorite scenes in 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson, which by the way is an excellent novel and I highly recommend it. Anyway there is this one scene where Keith and Ginny (if you wanna know who they are you should read the book) are watching the washer machine. They are talking about how ridiculous it is that a washer that had a window, for they can not figure who else would take the time to sit and watch the washer besides them. I am here to tell Ginny and Keith that I too have watched a full washer run.
You see about five years ago we had just bought a new washer - one with a window. I was determined to watch the whole cycle and I did. Before the machine had arrived I had already got myself pumped up to observe every cycle the washer made. So I came home and I did just that, I sat in front of the washer for 58 minutes straight. After the cycle finished I was dizzy and had a major headache. I could barely read. Luckily
I have yet to watch the washer since then but now I kinda of wanna watch the washer again.

Shoe Story
"Kaya!" my baby sister screams, "What about supper?"
"I'll be back soon," I yell over my shoulder.
I knew I should not have started my run so close to the time when I had to fix dinner. But hearing my mama crying was more then I can take. Sometimes I wish she would come downstairs and realize that she still has five children that are alive and well. Jake, my stepdad, agrees with me but mama does not seem to be listening to us. All she does is just stare ahead with that lost look in her eyes. I shake my head my head and put the thoughts of my mother to the back of my mind. Then I focus on my breathing and my pace and run.
When I get back to my house my baby brother and my baby sister are waiting for me in the kitchen.
"Kaya, look," Levi exclaims, " Ava and me set the table all by ourselves."
"Ava and I," I correct him. "How did you get the dishes?" I look around the kitchen to check for any signs of broken dishes.
"Out of the dishwasher," Ava replies, "We heard it sing so we knew that it was done."
"They were hot so we used the paddy thingys," Levi adds to Ava's explanation.
"Hot pads," I correct him, once more, " Where is Jake and the older boys?" I ask.
"Well," Ava begins as she pulls out her chair at the dinner table, "Daddy is upstairs with Mommy, and Lukie and Si are in the basement watching Toy Story."
"Toy Story?" I raise my eyebrows for I have heard my thirteen and twelve year old brothers complain more then once about having to watch that movie with Levi.
"They were watching it with us but we came upstairs to set the table for you. I'm hungry. Can we have hot dogs?" Levi switches the topic to food once more.
I begin to cook dinner without even bothering to change out of my sweats and sneakers. I'm gross right now I know but I never know when I will have to get out of the house again. As I cook the hot dogs and toss the salad I listen to Levi and Ava talk about their day.
"Hey Kaya," Levi starts carefully, "Do you think that Mommy will come down to dinner today?"
"Yeah, she should she has not been downstairs since the funeral.
I look at my four year old sister and three year old brother and try to think of how to put what I wish to say to them in words.
But the moment is broken when most of the family joins us at the dinner table lured by the smell of food. Jake comes from the upstairs with puffy eyes, and Simon and Luke come up from the basement as quiet as mice. Normally my brothers being quiet is a blessing but right now the quietness is because of sorrow not peace. We sit down to enjoy our meal of hot dogs and salad. At the food of the table my mother's chair is empty. Just like the nursery above our heads.

Beauty
What makes something beautiful?
What does it mean to be beautiful?
You have the power to make something beautiful. By believing something is beautiful that makes it so. Most people seem to think that beauty should be something that is handcut and crystal clear but it is not. For just because everyone thinks something is beautiful does not mean you have to. Only one person needs to believe that someone or something is beautiful to make it so.
Everyone has a little bit different view of the world. Sometimes people's view of the world can overlap or come extremely close. Other times they are miles apart. A few people have the ability to listen to another's view and hold their own. Because of people's different views their idea of beauty is different. So go ahead and make something beautiful today.
